The original idea came from MudPieStudio.
This is a great idea for leftover scrapbook paper, or even wrapping paper. For these actual cards I shared my NEW stack of designer paper. My kids (ages 3-8) made a bunch for teachers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!
Make little tree trunks out of brown paper. Punch out yellow stars (so glad I had a star punch!)
Then cut out various sized strips of paper from a variety of patterned paper! I separated each stack into a pile and had the kids pick one piece from each stack and go to town with the glue sticks! They had so much fun making them. I got such joy out of sharing MY card-making stuff (I don't do that often) and we had some really cute cards to share with friends and family! I was so afraid that I was going to end up with a bunch of the same patterns at the end, but they mixed them up very nicely!!
linking up with The CSI Project as a great project for crafting with leftover Christmas items.
So it's past Christmas now, but you might just want to "Pin it" for next year! :)
