Getting my craft on!

It seems like it has been forever since I sat down and made cards... Christmas is over, I am done making cookies and wrapping presents, and shopping, and cleaning up, and entertaining family, and eating cookies (okay, well, I am not done eating cookies, yet!)... so I spent some time today cleaning up my cardmaking table, and then I searched for some challenging on the internet to give me some ideas, and then I stamped, and stamped, and stamped... I have 2 cards that I want to share, and link to the challenges that gave me some inspiration!!  I made another card (which actually ended up being my favorite), but it didn't fit one of the challenges, so I will share it another day!

Mostly I wanted to make Thank yous... because you can never have too many Thank yous after Christmas, so here goes!!  both of these cards are applicable to these challenges/themes:
Cute Card Thursday: Challenge 145--Thank you!
Papertake Weekly: Thank You
Found another thank you challenge to join in at Phindy's Place

For One Layer Wednesday, I used one image stamp... from Close To My Heart, repeated in red.  Then of course, the Thank You, so I can use it to thank one of the wonderful people who loved on me this Christmas.

And for Mojo Monday, a SQUARE card... this was new for me, but I like it, also used CTMH, so that I could enter into the Heart 2 Heart Challenge of a holiday card using CTMH... red/green, Christmas thankyou!

So, I just have to know, what are your thoughts regarding matching envelopes?  is it worth the time/effort?  do you notice it when you receive a card with a matching envelope?

  1. They are both great, but I love the diamonds in the OLW card!!

  2. I notice the envelopes, but don't really think most people (unless they're crafty) would appreciate it.

Love the cards...very CAS but elegant too!

  3. I love the diamond one. For some of my cards, yes, it's worth it to go the extra mile and do a special envelope. It clues in the recipient to what's inside.

  4. Nice cards. Love the OLW one, especially that it's true to the challenge. And stamping on the envelopes is such a great idea, too. A little foretaste of the fun to come upon opening them! (By the way, I'm not done eating cookies yet either... but the end is in sight. :) And then it's back to the gym!)

  5. COOL!! I love the argyle one - red and white are my favorites together anyway - your card is perfect!

  6. Love your C&S cards. I think the envelopes are a great idea as long as one doesn't spend too long on something that is thrown away!

Phindys Place has a Thank You challenge running too at the moment, do please pop by and enter:)
