True Contentment
Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both the abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
To me, contentment and peace go hand in hand... working on these verses for my #SSMT (at LPM Blog), linking up to Word Filled Wednesday, and also reviewing Philippians 4:6-7
Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Peace and Grace to you...

Great verses I love Philippians 4. I need to memorize it and try to live it. I find myself so discontent a lot of the time and that robs me of my peace. I'm always looking to the future and dreaming, instead of enjoying where I am and feeling the peace of it. A bad habit, I know. Thank you for this this morning. I needed to read this! I like the Word Filled Wednesday idea. I had been doing the Wordless Wednesdays but I'm running out of newer pictures and I'm not so good at just putting a picture up and not using words. I talk to much.
ReplyDeleteThose verses from Phillipians are ones I go back to again and again - 'contentment and peace do go hand and hand' don't they?!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that bench looks like a wonderful place to sit and reflect.
I have always loved those verses... and what a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness! I logged in my LPM verse too! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites. Thank you for sharing. Love the photo too. Blessings to you and yours.
