What could be better than sending, or receiving handmade notecards?? I love, LOVE, LOVE making notecards... it's therapy for me, but I am not so good at sending them! This year I am working to change that! I haven't added to my card shop recently, but I have been busy making cards... thank you cards! Thank you notes is something that every new mom, or every bride, simply could not have enough of. There are always thank you notes to write!! :) and there is something special about receiving a hand made note! So I started making specialty note cards for shower gifts. You can give a large variety for the main gift, or sometimes just a few to add on to the gift already purchased.
Most recently I made a bunch for my little sister's baby shower. This set here was one of my favorites!!
Here is a picture of the where I got the idea... I found this in my "ideas stash" and did my best to make it work for a baby thank you! I really had to work to find some stamps that would fit the baby theme, and to find a square stamp for the background silver embossing, but I think I did a pretty good job.
The bib, duck, bottle, and diaper pin were actually on a collage stamp, so there was a lot of stamping, a lot of cutting, and a lot of coloring in with colored pencils! but I LOVED the way it turned out!
I love the signature touch of a matching envelope... I am working toward doing that for all my handmade cards!
It took some time to come up with the idea and find some things that worked, but once it came together, I quickly cranked out a set of these cards!
The CSI Project is all about unique gifts this week, and I think handmade thank you notes is a unique gift... one I love giving! To see more unique gifts, head over there!!
These are absolutely ADORABLE! Thanks for sharing.
