Friday, July 1

Okay, it just took me 60 seconds to type the title without typos... this does not bode well for Five Minute Friday, but here goes...

We all want to be welcomed: at church, in the neighborhood, at a party (or intimate-get-together), even on the blogosphere, facebook, twitter.  Aren't we so ready and willing to welcome those who look like us, act like us, like the same things we like, blog about the stuff we blog about... but what about those that aren't quite like us?  Do we welcome them?

On Sundays do you reach out to visitors and those who look like they need a friend, or are we too busy "welcoming" our regular friends?  Are you the life of the party, or the wall flower?  Do you ever ask a question to your facebook/twitter friends? and only get ONE, maybe two responses???  (I have had that problem and it is very frustrating) ... but that's not what this is about.

Being Welcomed is all about "Being Noticed!"  and that is what Five Minute Friday is about... being noticed, being welcomed ... mistakes and all!!  :)

so please say hello (I would love to welcome my blog visitors), and then visit GypsyMama to welcome other fine writers!!

  1. well you made me feel very welcomed.
    good job

  2. I love this post. I actually wrote a blog 'Alone in the Church' about the need to make others feel welcome.
Am enjoying reading through your blog.
