and after that, I might just hang around for 5 more minutes to actually do the #FiveMinuteFriday prompt right away... without thinking about it all morning long!
so here I am... waiting... waiting... waiting ... and speculating on the prompt... :)
hmmm ... Wait? Thanksgiving? shopping? deals? family? friends? turkey? pie?
or, I will just sit and wait for Lisa-Jo to share her post... at midnight... when I should be sleeping!
apparently I use ellipses a little too much when I'm tired... I like them because it just seems to add a flow to my words. I suppose I should learn to like periods. :) or just stop typing until I get a #FiveMinuteFriday prompt! :)
So here it is! My five minutes on...
Thank you
I don't say it often enough! Even when I think it sometimes the words don't come out. Out Loud! I say THANK YOU, out loud! From the top of my mountain that God has given me for now.
I say Thank You for Jesus, for salvation, for grace and second chances. I say Thank you for unconditional love. When I'm ungrateful and selfish, and like the debtor forgiven, who wouldn't forgive, I say Thank you!
Thank you for the little things, for the big things, for the 1000+ gifts! for the ability to count and to see the gifts and say Thank you!
I say Thank you for family and friends and church ... and a whole wide open community of online friends.
I say Thank you for eyes and ears and fingers and toes, for creation... for the Creator.
This blog with it's ups and downs, ebbs and flows, noisy and quiet times. This is my thank you to God. For making me, for building me to create, to long for community, to inspire, to write, to learn, to share! All of it, in this blog is my Thank You!!
what are you thankful for?
ps. I didn't get a BlackFriday #Allume ticket... still thankful!!
I just wanted to say to Him "yeah...what she said" after reading this friend. Beautiful post. Thank you for sharing your heart. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteSometimes an AMEN is all we need! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteJulie...I didn't get a black Friday Allume ticket but I'm still just as thankful that I will be able to buy one...even at the regular price. Oh...and I like elipses, too. Obviously as much as you do...yes, they provide a flow to the words and the thinking that's going on inside of my head! Love your post. :D Blessings!
ReplyDeleteJulie, there is so much joy in this. Can your hear it? Feel it? That kind of joy came only come from gratitude. So thankful for you, your words and your friendship!!
ReplyDeleteoh, friend I am so thankful for you! and so thankful for the joy filled days! :)
DeleteNice to "meet" you on Twitter tonight! I think this is my first time staying up late to post right after the prompt, too. lol I'm finding that the more thankful I am, the less I worry about my circumstances. That's a good enough reason to give thanks in all things!
ReplyDeleteI should totally be sleeping too. I am soooo very tired but I wanted an Allume ticket too and since I haven't written in awhile, I wanted to do this last five minutes since we'll be off for December. It's good to be here and I agree, thankful heart tonight for this gal. We really are blessed, especially in this community. Thankful for you, friend.
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't get a ticket, but loved this post still!!!
ReplyDeletenot even sure I can make it to Allume in S. Carolina this year, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try! :)
Deletethanks for visiting!
Look at you being third to link up! Beautiful post! Sorry about the Allume ticket...I didn't even try, I am hoping for an early bird one (first I have to figure out how to get there!)Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI figure that I'll work out the way to get there... AFTER God provides the ticket! :) I stayed up late last night, should head to bed soon! :) I'm thankful for you, friend!
DeleteWhat am I thankful for???? Every Thing!!!! Including this glorious community of love!
ReplyDeleteLove this shouting of thanks! Thanks for staying up and sharing. I don't live far from Greenville,SC so if you need to save some money by flying into Charlotte or getting a ride from the airport let me know! Maybe that can balance out the non-Black Friday ticket! That is what I am counting on!
ReplyDeleteYeah...what you said!! Oonly you said it beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteSo true, "Even when I think it sometimes the words don't come out", I need to be more intentional about speaking the words out!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU for writing this.
I also learnt a new word from you! Ellipsis... I've just always called them "dot dot dots"
This is lovely. It's so good to be thankful, to receive the grace, and be grateful for it.
