I still have a chance to make it in for a post today, but I'm tired from a FULL and fun day!
Committing to this challenge when I only have access to an iPad probably wasn't the smartest idea,
but as in most things I acted before I thought ... and I may have bit off more than I can chew!
My first ever Dayspring mug |
While visiting family and "vacationing" and "reunioning it up" one of the things I have missed about being at home is my coffee mugs... I have a slight addiction to Dayspring mugs, but didn't think to bring one with me. My mother-in-law has some nice mugs... and ones that are the perfect size ... more than 10 ounces. But tonight, God gave me a little gift. I poured an evening cup of coffee into this treasure, with just the right verse of encouragement I needed for a situation in my life!!
Okay, I was going to take a picture of it (with my ipad), but the dishwasher is already running, so here is the fantastic verse that I needed today.
Matthew 17:20
... If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ... nothing shall be impossible unto you.
And here is the verse in it's entirety!
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Can I just say, I have a few mountains in my life that need moving?!?!
Yes, God even speaks to me in my coffee addiction! :)
my mugs! My husband just brought me a new, great, wooden mug from Costa Rica, made with the wood of trees found there! And it's the perfect size! I've been convicted by several passages lately, but the one that keeps recurring as a theme through them all is "the kindness of the Lord leads to repentance."
ReplyDeleteOops! Somehow the first part was cute off! That should read "Good morning! I *am* particular about my mugs!" :)
DeleteAs a mom of two teens, one of which is in college and the other is a senior in high school the following verse gives me great comfort because He can parent WAY better than I can. The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. (Psalm 37:23
ReplyDeleteOh I def have a favorite mug! The problem is that it's always in the dishwasher!
ReplyDeleteI have an iPad too. You can't do much with the Blogger app which is disappointing. The program that I think works the best is called simply "Posts" and the nice thing is I can run more than one blog through it without logging in and out of them all.
