Five Minute Friday --Grasp

Five Minute Friday
It's Friday, It's Friday, It's Friday!! We made it! My blog is quiet, although I pushed through yesterday to share some of my fears as Allume looms closer.  I have a little side job right now which is at least 30 hours of work, which I really need to focus on and get 'er done... but it's data entry and I'm struggling.  It needs to take priority over blog writing right now, but I just can't miss out on Five Minute Friday.  So here I am in all my 5 minutes of glory.

If you are new here, here's the scoop on Five Minute Friday, straight from Lisa-Jo.

So, here’s the skinny: every Friday for over a year hundreds of people join a kind of writing flash mob over here.
We write for five minutes flat. All on the same prompt that I post (on her blog) at 1 minute past midnight EST ever Friday. And we connect on Twitter with the hashtag #FiveMinuteFriday
No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation.
Unscripted. Unedited. Real.
It started because I’d been thinking about writing and how often our perfectionism gets in the way of our words. And I figured, why not take 5 minutes and see what comes out: not a perfect post, not a profound post, just five minutes of focused writing.
So now on Fridays a group of people who love to throw caution to the wind and just write without worrying if it’s just right gather to share what five minutes buys them. Just five minutes.
Your words. This shared feast.

Go here, for how to join!

My Five Minutes on ... GRASP

John 10:29
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Nothing can snatch me from my Father's hand!

Nothing

Not my sin of anger
Not your pointing fingers
Not my lack of patience
Not sickness, not death
Not when I waste time
Not when I'm tempted
Not when your words hurt me
Not when my kids won't listen

Nothing

I am my Father's child and He remembers I'm made of dust ... and He loves me anyway.

He diligently seeks me when I wander, when I stumble, when I fall. And when all I can see are my mistakes, He is covering me in grace. (<-- a="a" that="that" tweet="tweet">) Reminding me, encouraging me, never letting me go.
I fall into His arms of grace. I pray.
I try, try again. I see the little successes and I celebrate them.
And I remember that I'm secure. That the grace that saved me is the grace that keeps me.

Are you safe in His grasp today?
